The son of a talented painter, Paul Morgan's painting talents were first appreciate at the very early age of nine, when his gift for making paintings 'live' was observed by his art master at school. It was however, 23 years later in 1973, that he decided to follow his creative instinct and make oil painting his career.
The years between were restless and unfruitful. A three-year apprenticeship in engineering left him dissatisfied and in 1963 he attempted a compromise by taking a course in graphic design and he entered the world of commercial art. Then he deliberately opted-out and started to sell his paintings in galleries.
Paul Morgan's future is now established and today his paintings hang in places as far afield as Bermuda, the Middle East, West Africa and across the Atlantic in Ontario, Canada. However it is in Ireland where his sporting oils find true appreciation.
