Jeffrey L D Bradley is a mainly marine artist, resident in Dorset. He served as a shipwright apprenticeship in Portsmouth Naval Dockyard, and then served twenty seven years in the Royal Navy. Many an evening was spent on the upper deck of the various ships on which he served, studying the waves and the skies. He works in oil, acrylic, watercolour and pastel. He undertakes commissions for a wide variety of subjects such as landscapes, seascapes, portraits, pets, boats and cars, etc.
Jeff has received many commissions from home and abroad for seascapes, boats, classic cars, portraits and animals, including a commission from the chairman of the local Sail Training Trust to paint the tall ship 'Tenacious'; a series of paintings of a luxury motor yacht 'Shemara', once owned by Lord and Lady Docker, now belonging to Sir Charles Dunstone, co-founder of Carphone Warehouse and Talktalk. Also he was especially commissioned to produce a painting to raise funds for the RNLI, of the yacht 'Cheeki Rafiki' which was lost at sea with all four crew members. It was submitted without charge and subsequently sold at auction in London. Jeff has exhibited and sold work at the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries in London
