Daniel Van der Putten was born in Holland and after travelling widely has now settled in England where he draws great inspiration from the countryside. His intimate knowledge of the work of the Dutch Masters has been a dominant influence on his style but he has continually striven to develop his own personal and completely self-taught technique.
Daniel Van der Putten's paintings show his passion for colour, light and shadow and he distinguishes himself with his superb handling of trees and skies, painted in a wide range of differing moods. His paintings have a light and intensity that very few artists can achieve and his work, having been shown at exhibitions internationally, is now eagerly collected by connoisseurs, throughout the world. The words 'fine art' and Daniel Van der Putten are synonymous.
