Picture of Bryan Apps

Bryan Apps has been an Anglican priest who has served in the Diocese of Winchester for 50 years. When an Assistant Curate of St Mary's Andover in the 1960's, his 97 hp Mobile Church attracted the interest of the International Press. He has been a motor racing enthusiast since 1949 when, at the age of 12 he went to Goodwood for the Easter Monday race meeting. Through his art he made lasting friendships with Manfred von Brauchitsch, Ken Tyrrell and many of the most famous racing drivers from before and after the Second World War. He has had seven books published, five of which were illustrated by his paintings. We are delighted to sell on his behalf many of these illustrations, a small selection of which are displayed on our website.

Bryan has a huge collection of Classic Motor paintings, so if there is any particular racing car you are seeking, please let us know and we will be pleased to contact the artist.
